Nestled 2-4 miles east of downtown and just north of Lady Bird Lake, Govalle is a neighborhood brimming with character. Its name, derived from Swedish for "good grazing," hints at its pastoral roots. The area showcases a charming mix of 1950s-40s homes alongside contemporary architectural gems. What sets Govalle apart is its thriving arts community, with old industrial spaces transformed into vibrant artist studios. Wander around and you'll stumble upon Boggy Creek Farms and Haus Brau, where friendly donkeys add to the bucolic charm.

Within walking distance, Canopy beckons with its art galleries, while Springdale General offers a taste of culinary delights from a fancy bakery, sushi joints, pilates studios, and the renowned Medici Coffee Roasters. Nearby, OMG Squee (as seen on Queer Eye) adds a touch of trendy flair.

Food enthusiasts will rejoice at Tillery St's offerings, including the beloved Pueble Viejo taco truck and Flitch Coffee for a morning pick-me-up. Adventure seekers can explore rock climbing spots, breweries, and artist studios, all conveniently located within blocks.

As a host, I've curated an extensive guidebook filled with insider recommendations to ensure your stay is nothing short of spectacular. Living nearby, I'm always available to offer new suggestions or assist in making your experience unforgettable. Welcome to Govalle, where history meets creativity, and every corner holds a delightful surprise!

Metro Bike- bike rentals, scooter like Lyft are all around the city as well as Uber, Lyft, and the public bus is within blocks.

Stairs Required: Please be aware that this is a second-story apartment, and access requires climbing one flight of stairs.
Neighborhood Sounds: A neighbor has a rooster that can sometimes be heard during the day. We find it adds to the charm of our East Austin farm-style community, but we provide complimentary earplugs for light sleepers.
